...maybe next year for the Cubs and the Sox? I watched this series from the edge of the desert in the Middle East! Hope it's not 40 years before the next time...
It's good to know you were able to watch from the other side of the globe - last year my sister was in Ireland throughout the postseason, but thankfully she was still able to watch as the Red Sox won the World Series from across the Atlantic.
Traveling with a mix of soccer, cricket and baseball fans made following the news about the series the basis for some fascinating cross-cultural conversations.
And now I'm back just in time to face my students tomorrow...complete with jet lag!
Born and raised in Southeastern Massachusetts, I earned a bachelor's in government from Georgetown and a law degree from Notre Dame before entering the Society of Jesus (aka 'the Jesuits') in 2004. After taking vows as a Jesuit scholastic in August 2006, I studied philosophy at Fordham University and taught the same subject at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. In August of 2012, I moved to Toronto to begin studies in theology at Regis College, a Jesuit institution federated with the University of Toronto, in preparation for ordination as a Catholic priest.
The opinions expressed on this blog are my own and should not be taken to represent the position of the Society of Jesus, the University of Toronto, or any other group or institution with which I am or have been connected.

Michelle,
